The artwork pays homage to our connections with tayaritja/Bass Strait Islands and our sustained cultural practice of mutton birding. Our Old People were removed from their homelands on mainland Tasmania and relocated to these islands. Over time, they become our home and our connection to these islands remains just as strong today. The line-work depicts the journey we have undertaken and our ties to land and sea Country.
