2022 - 2023
MCCLELLAND SCULPTURE PARK & GALLERY | ARTIST RESIDENCY
Undertaking a six week Artist in Residency stay at the McClelland Sculpture Park & Gallery to develop my creative practice, network with industry peers and present a public art installation concept for consideration.
DARK MOFO | PUBLIC ART
Commissioned to present This Bitter Earth developed in collaboration with Alex Podger at this years Dark Park. The work is a ritual of luwuree smoke and fire calling back the ancient shoreline of nipaluna/Hobart over a fortnight of performance.
ARTS TASMANIA | PUBLIC ART
Commissioned to created a large scale artwork for vinyl application on the exterior of the Launceston General Hospital’s Northern Integrated Care Services building. The artwork represent the Tasmanian Aboriginal communities connection to the Bass Strait Islands.
YIRRAMBOI FESTIVAL | PUBLIC ART
Commissioned to present ‘My Body is Country, My Blood is Salt Water’ as part of the Barring Yanabul program within the Yirramboi Festival in Melbourne. The artwork takes form in a large scale neon sign that will be suspended in a public space.
ETM PERSPECTIVES | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to create a logo for the WEX Regional gathering in Nipaluna/Hobart. The program has been developed to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with exposure and insight into the careers available within government.
LAZY GIRL LINGERIE | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned by Waayni fashion designer, Cassandra Pons to create a suite of artworks that were suitable for printing onto a variety of fabrics. These will be made into a collection that will feature on the David Jones Indigenous Fashions Projects runway at Australian Fashion Week.
TASWATER | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to create artwork for use across the company including print and promotional material as well as their fleet cars. In addition to this, the artwork will be used on their Reconciliation Action Plan which has also been designed by me.
A FESTIVAL CALLED PANAMA | CULTURAL ADVISOR
Contracted to provide cultural oversight, coordination and advice around engagement and access for the local Aboriginal community in the lead up and throughout the festival including artists and community.
AUSTRALIAN COLLEGE FOR RURAL & REMOTE MEDICINE | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to design the lead artwork for the annual Rural Medicine Australia conference in Nipaluna/Hobart. The artwork will be used in their marketing and promotional assets including print and digital.
AUSTRALIA REMADE | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to create graphics and simple illustrations for animation within a short video being developed by the organisation in collaboration with local Aboriginal woman, Alison Overeem who wrote an accompanying poem about caring for country.
ST PATRICKS COLLEGE | SIGNAGE & DESIGN
Commissioned by St Patrick’s College to develop an Acknowledgement of Country sign for the school in collaboration with students, staff and the local community. The school have fabricated the sign with install due for later this year.
TASMANIAN HEALTH SERVICE | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to create an artwork for use on patient placemats across Tasmanian public hospitals. The placements provided patients with key information and contacts and has been created using elements of the commissioned artwork.
2021 - 2022
DEPARTMENT OF PREMIER & CABINET | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to design cover artwork for the Closing the Gap Report for Tasmania. The report was prepared by the Office of Aboriginal Affairs and will be tabled in parliament before being made available to the public.
DU CANE DINING HALL & BREWERY | MURAL
Commissioned by Du Cane to paint a large scale indoor mural depicting the coming together of waterways in the local area. The inside area provides a space for patrons to gather and the artworks invites them to do this.
KUTALAYNA COLLECTIVE | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to design the lead artwork for Changefest, a national gathering of change-makers focusing on place and the local community. The festival moves around the country focusing on the strengths of community to overcome local issues through grass-root initiatives and programs.
MONA | DESIGN, VISUAL ART
Commissioned to assist in the design and development of visual artwork, features, elements and finishes for a new building in development at the Museum of Old and New Art.
THRIVE GROUP | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to create an artwork for the footer of the companies email banner for an Acknowledgement of Country. This artwork and email banner was released company wide for staff use.
CONTEMPORARY ART TASMANIA | GROUP EXHIBITION
Participated in a curated group exhibition by Alex Hullah at Contemporary Art Tasmania. The exhibition titled HOME|LANDS encouraged artists to explore concepts related to home and land. The work I created was called MIDLAND MOURNING which was a sculptural memorial for country made of rocks taken from a colonial farmstead.
JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL | CURATOR
Commissioned by Junction Arts Festival to curate TUNAPRI PALAWA. A curated blak showcase featuring artists from Blackspace Creative, audio visual experiences, stories and community workshops. Taking space in Princes Square for the duration of the festival.
JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned by Junctions Arts Festival to design the lead artwork for the festivals branding and marketing materials including vinyl wraps for the Palawa Kani language installations co-produced by Junction and Flying Colours with support from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.
THE GATHERING | CULTURAL EXCHANGE
Participated in RANT Arts ‘Island to Island’ cultural exchange to Hawaii as part of The Gathering project. A professional and skills development opportunity for emerging Tasmanian Aboriginal artists from northern Tasmania.
HANSEN & YUNCKEN | ART AQUISITION
Artwork acquired by leading architectural firm Hansen & Yuncken for their corporate office in nipaluna/Hobart. This artwork as acquired as part of their ongoing commitment to build and sustain a mutually beneficial relationship with the local Aboriginal community.
TEN DAYS ON THE ISLAND | LEAD CREATIVE
tunapri Table Cape Lightshow Experience has been commissioned by Business Northwest and produced by Ten Days on the Island. View the announcement of the work and the concept behind this exciting project launching in Winter 2022 on the north-west coast of Tasmania.
ABORIGINAL EDUCATION SERVICES | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Engaged by Aboriginal Education Services to design a series of artwork for use on their Aboriginal School Based Apprenticeship marketing materials for both students, teachers and employers in collaboration with RedJelly. The marketing package was launched during National Reconciliation Week in addition to a promotional video which you can watch here.
TASMANIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra to develop the artwork for the Obscura concert series, milaythina in collaboration with Gloo Advertising. Titled milaythina, the Palawa word for Country, the concert was headlined by didjeridu virtuoso William Barton performing his own music.

Commissioned to design a suite of logo’s for the newly developed collectives throughout the state including, Kutalayna Collective, Kanamaluka Collective and Pataway Collective along with digital assets for use on their website and throughout promotional materials.

Commissioned to design the visual branding and identity for Cooee Communications including letterheads, business cards and social media tiles.

Commissioned to create a graphic illustrating the appropriate standard of PPE required for Aboriginal rangers and community members wanting to undertake cultural burning with Parks & Wildlife.

CONSTANCE ARI | GRAPHIC DESIGN
Commissioned to design the layout and re-illustrate original artwork for Muwinina Country written by Luana Towney and published by Constance ARI as part of the ngayapi niyakara project in partnership with the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.

Recreated an original artwork and turned it into a digital graphic for use on merchandise by DENNI.

Sub-contracted to provide a series of artworks that will be laser engraved into metal sheets to be installed throughout an outdoor labyrinth being installed by Mark Healy under a commission administered by Arts Tasmanian through the Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH | CONSULTANT
Consultant and model for the Department of Health’s LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Healthcare online learning module in collaboration with Mez New.
HOBART CITY COUNCIL | PUBLIC ART
Commissioned by the City of Hobart to design a public artwork that provides an Acknowledgement of Country within the gardens at Town Hall.
REGIONAL ARTS AUSTRALIA | SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
Contracted by Regional Arts Australia to manage their social media channels on-the-ground during the ARTLANDS 2021 gathering in Launceston. This included live running commentary of the entire conference along with accompanying imagery shot by a sub-contracted photographer; Jillian Mundy Photography.
I AM COUNTRY | INDEPENDENTLY DEVELOPED

Commissioned to design a co-branded logo for the Burnie Works initiative that showcased the northwest coast and our deep time connections.

Contracted to provide cultural advice and leadership during the Dark Mofo 2021 Festival after the fallout from the proposed Santiago Sierra work.
TASMANIA LEGAL AID | GRAPHIC DESIGN

Contracted to build a basic online platform for the launch and roll out of the Walantanalinany Palingina working group.

Commissioned to design seven custom carpets for installation throughout the new University of Tasmania Inveresk Campus. This commission is administered by Arts Tasmanian through the Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme.

Commissioned to design a large scale artwork for installation within the GHD office building in Burnie that reflected the unique geographical features and connections to coast and country.

Winner of the University of Tasmania Student Art Prize in which my work was acquired by the University of Tasmania for use throughout their Aboriginal Employment Plan (PDF).

Commissioned to develop a custom logo for the newly developed Tasmanian Eco Collective. In addition to this I also supplied a series of graphics for use on social media and their website.

Responsible for the development of branding, marketing and communication materials for Nayri Niara which coincided with an exhibition they were hosting in conjunction with the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair.
